Padmaja Is New PCOM of SCR

Hyderabad: K Padmaja has taken charge as Principal Chief Operations Manager (PCOM), South Central Railway on Wednesday at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.

She belongs to the 1991 batch of Indian Railways Traffic Service. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Science and Education. Prior to this assignment, she was working as Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM), SCR and was also handling the additional charge of Principal Chief Operations Manager (PCOM), SCR.

During her illustrious career spanning over 30 years with Indian Railways, K Padmaja has held several other key positions across South Central Railway such as Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM) in Hyderabad Division; Assistant Traffic Manager (ATM) and Divisional Operations Manager (coal & goods), Secunderabad Division; Sr Divisional Safety Officer, Guntakal Division; Dy. Chief Commercial Manager, PRS; Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager and Sr. Divisional Operations Manager, Secunderabad Division. At Headquarters, she served as Dy. Chief Operations Manager/Coaching; Chief Traffic Manager, General; Chief Passenger Traffic Manager; Chief Freight Traffic Manager and Chief Commercial Manager, Passenger services.

She has also served as Advisor (Transport)/Godavari Fertilizers Co. Ltd and General Manager, Concor, Hyderabad. Additionally, she holds the positions such as State Commissioner, SCR State Bharat Scouts & Guides; Secretary, Handball, SCR Sport Association; President, SCR Lalita Kala Samiti, Secunderabad and President, SCR Officers Association.

During her tenure as Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) since July, 2024, Padmaja supervised the effective management of passenger and freight services ensuring customer satisfaction and revenue

generation.
